Kitchens — whether new or existing — aren’t designed with future refinishing in mind. Most are built for how they look today, not how they can be updated years down the line.
At Complete Refinish, we’ve spent years working with different surfaces and materials, developing coating systems that can be applied reliably across modern kitchens — delivering finishes that not only look right, but last.
We’re a local team that takes real pride in our work. With decades of combined experience in refinishing, we approach every project with care, attention to detail, and a focus on getting the finish just right.
1. Day 1. (Onsite) Removal of Doors and Drawer fronts and on the same day we spray paint in-situ panels such as end panels, sidepanels, cornices and so on.
2. Doors and drawers will be taken back to the workshop to be prepared and spray painted. We primer and coat with specialist industry paints which renders a smooth factory like finish.
3. Day 2 (on average 5-7 days later) We return to refit and align your doors.
1. The emptying of drawers and in some cases cabinets if they prohibit access to works.
2. Water supply and Electrics.
3. Free Permitted Parking of Van during working hours.
In general for a kitchen with up to 36 doors we can usually complete this stage within a single day depending on the condition and substrate of the kitchen.
Onsite panels include End panels, Side panels, Cornices, Plinths, Filler panels, Open shelving, Glass Encased cabinets, Claddings, Carcass side edges, General framework which is fastened and externally visible when doors and drawers are closed.
• On arrival, we remove and label all doors and drawers, safely loading them into our van for transport.
• All surrounding furnishings and surfaces are fully covered for protection.
• The kitchen framework and panels are thoroughly cleaned, degreased and sanded to prepare for primer, ensuring strong adhesion of the top coat.
• Panels are carefully masked and primer is applied, with an extraction system used to remove paint fumes.
• The primer is lightly sanded to create the ideal surface for the colour finish.
• Two coats of top coat colour are then applied using the extraction system throughout.
• The finish is quality checked before all tape and protective coverings are removed.
• Finally, all protection is removed and the area is cleaned.
Complete Refinish is a professional spray painting business we are very studious in keeping up with the latest technology and our workshop is purposely kitted out to facilitate the refinishing of pre-painted surfaces, wood, plastic, metal, mdf, mfc, oak, oak veneer solid wood, pine and so on.
1. Once your doors and drawers are brought back to our workshop special attention is undertaken with each and every panel. The process begins with degreasing greasy panels and identifying blemishes.
2. Specific methods are undertaken to prepare for various coatings and sanded down to prepare for primer.
3. All spray painting is carried out in our spray booth in order to achieve a factory-like finish with a minimum of 2 coats applied. Once cured the doors are shelved and left to cure.
4. The panels are then inspected by our in-house quality controllers and then packaged using recycled materials. (sustainability is at the core of our business)
5. The doors are now ready to be returned.
Benefits of Panels Taken Back To Our Workshop
• We can ensure a quality finish.
• Less mess within your home.
• Minimal disruption to you.
Once the doors and drawers are quality checked, packaged and stored within our van we would have expected that all your usual kitchen furnishings are back within its rightful place and simply awaiting the doors and drawers to be rehung. This stage of the process usually takes 2-3 hours depending on the complexity of the door hinges and the amount of doors and drawers to be replenished.
1. Doors and Drawers rehung.
2. Handles put back whether old or new.
3. Doors Aligned.
Once you are satisfied with the completion of your kitchen we will then advise how best to maintain your newly refinished kitchen and expect payment to be made on the same day.
